ANOTHER BRACE FOR JOE AS SPITFIRES COMPLETE SECOND HALF TURNAROUND - 19/04/2008

Eastleigh 2nd XI 2-2 Whyteleafe Res.

Suburban Premier League

After going 2-0 down at half time to Whyteleafe Reserves, Eastleigh fought back well with two goals from Joe Maxwell to change the game around.

Maxwell continued his rich vein of goalscoring form with another brace this afternoon adding to the double he scored in the last reserves home game in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Hillingdon Borough.

Since then Eastleigh's second string played two away games in which they beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1, Maxwell getting both goals again! This was then followed by a heavy 3-0 defeat to Hayes & Yeading United Res. last weekend.

TEAM: Andy Wynn, Niall Bryant, Adam Shepherd, Jason Sangha, Mo Arahji, Chris Mason, Sam Longman, Adam Wiltshire, Joe Maxwell, Aaron Milburn, James Screen

SUBS: Les Wallace (on for Milburn), Fred Toomer (on for Wynn), Scott Waters (on for Longman), Not used - Jason Brookes

TEN MAN EASTLEIGH SLUMP TO DEFEAT - 22/03/2008
Eastleigh 2nd XI 0-3 Uxbridge Res.

Suburban Premier League

NO WAY THROUGH: Adam Wiltshire in the thick of the action

In the torrid weather conditions, both gale force winds and the bitter cold, Eastleigh fell behind after just two minutes as Andy Wynn pushed the ball up but was unable to stop it from crossing the line as it came back down from an early free kick.

Aaron Martin was given his marching orders prior to the break for a second bookable offence meaning the Spitfires had to battle out for the rest of the game a man down.

Uxbridge took full advantage and netted twice in the second half to seal a comfortable victory.

TEAM: Andy Wynn, Niall Bryant, Sam Doswell, Aaron Martin, Jason Sangha, Chris Mason, Tom Winzar, Adam Wiltshire, Scott Waters, Joe Maxwell, Adam Shepherd

SUBS: Les Wallace (on for Winzar 67), Aaron Milburn (on for Waters 67), Sam Skinner (on for Bryant 84)

PAYING THE PENALTY - 08/02/2008

Eastleigh 2nd XI 1-3 Carshalton Athletic Res.

Suburban Premier League

Chris Mason put Eastleigh 1-0 up slightly against the run of play with an excellent low drive from distance, but the Spitfires conceded two penalties in the space of ten minutes to end the first half in the worst possible manner.

Watching their slender lead disappear at the break as both spot kicks were converted, the Spitfires started the second half well enough but a third goal from Carshalton put the game beyond doubt.

TEAM: Andy Wynn, Niall Bryant, Justin Hall, Jason Sangha, Sam Doswell, Perry Mullins, Chris Mason, James Screen, Tom Winzar, Scott Waters, Doug Rowe.

SUBS: Adam Wiltshire (on for Winzar 62), Joe Maxwell (on for Hall 62), Aaron Milburn (on for Waters 80)
