NO WAY THROUGH:
Adam Wiltshire in the thick of the action
In
the torrid weather conditions, both gale force winds and the bitter cold, Eastleigh fell behind after just two minutes as
Andy Wynn pushed the ball up but was unable to stop it from crossing the line as it came back down from an early free kick.
Aaron
Martin was given his marching orders prior to the break for a second bookable offence meaning the Spitfires had to battle
out for the rest of the game a man down.
Uxbridge
took full advantage and netted twice in the second half to seal a comfortable victory.
TEAM: Andy Wynn, Niall Bryant, Sam Doswell, Aaron Martin, Jason Sangha, Chris Mason, Tom
Winzar, Adam Wiltshire, Scott Waters, Joe Maxwell, Adam Shepherd
SUBS: Les
Wallace (on for Winzar 67), Aaron Milburn (on for Waters 67), Sam Skinner (on for Bryant 84)
Chris
Mason put Eastleigh 1-0 up slightly against the run of play with an excellent low drive from distance, but the Spitfires conceded
two penalties in the space of ten minutes to end the first half in the worst possible manner.
Watching
their slender lead disappear at the break as both spot kicks were converted, the Spitfires started the second half well enough
but a third goal from Carshalton put the game beyond doubt.
